Praise Your Freedom to host its fifth fundraiser on October 18, with proceeds supporting the treatment of a cancer patient in Mumbai
Mumbai, 15th October 2026: Mumbai’s dance community is coming together to support a cancer patient in Mumbai, who is undergoing treatment for carcinoma of the oral cavity and requires urgent chemotherapy and blood replacement. With the family facing an estimated treatment cost of approximately ₹9 lakh, community-led dance collective Praise Your Freedom (PYF) will organise Praise Your Freedom – Fundraiser Dance Event on October 18, 2026, at Sawan Dance Hall No. 1, Goregaon West.
The initiative began after the patient’s daughter came in contact with a member of the PYF team through a common professional connection. After learning about the patient’s condition and the family’s need for financial support, PYF decided to use its platform to bring dancers, artists and audiences together to contribute towards the treatment.
The event will feature dance battles across Hip-Hop, Breaking and Represent Your Style, along with a special dance showcase by Flamechi and rap showcases by Rex & Mavrick, representing Gang 97. The participation fee is ₹250, while the viewership fee is ₹200. Registration and collection will take place on the day of the event, with the proceeds raised being contributed towards the patient’s medical treatment.
For Praise Your Freedom, this will be its fifth fundraising event, continuing its effort to use the dance community as a platform for social support.
Pramod Saroj, Founder, Praise Your Freedom, said: “Whenever we organise a fundraiser, it holds a different meaning for all of us. Many of us come from humble backgrounds, so we understand how important financial support can be when a family faces a medical emergency. This is not just PYF raising funds; it is the entire dance community coming together. We hope more people participate so that, together, we can raise as much as possible for the patient’s treatment.”

The organisers are inviting dancers, artists and audiences across Mumbai to participate, attend and support the fundraiser.
