Mumbai, November 30: Koli Combined XI riding on the fine batting performances of Shravan Mhatre 59 runs and Nihar Agre 49 runs defeated MV Sports Club by 78 runs in a MCA President Cup ‘C & D’ Division quarter-final match, played at the United Cricketers ground, Cross Maidan on Saturday.
Batting first, Koli Combined XI amassed a huge total of 181 for 4 wickets from their 20 overs. Besides Mhatre and Agre Dinesh Bhunu contributed 32 runs.
In reply, MV Sports Club were bowled out for 103 runs in 18 overs. Opening bat Sachin Keni top-scored with 39 runs while Koli Combined medium pacers Aditya Koli 3 wickets for 11 runs and Hardev Tandel 3 wickets for 27 runs claimed the wickets.
Brief scores: Dashing SC 139 for 5, 20 overs (Smit Kochrekar Nainesh 46, Selarka 34, Swapnil Thosar 24) beat Jolly Brothers SC 125 all out, 19.2 overs (Omkar Rilkar 29, Harshal Padwal 27) by 14 runs.
Koli Combined XI 181 for 4, 20 overs (Shravan Mhatre 59, Nihar Agre 49, Dinesh Bhunu 32) beat MV Sports Club 103 all out, 18 overs (Sachin Keni 39; Aditya Koli 3/11, Hardev Tandel 3/27) by 78 runs.
