Building on this, Amazon has expanded its zero-referral fee coverage more than 10x from 1.2 crore products in 2025 to over 12.5 crore enabling sellers to benefit across everyday categories such as fashion,

Reinforcing its long-term commitment, Amazon has also announced plans to invest over $35 billion in

Beyond fee reductions, our focus is on enabling long-
term, sustainable growth through simpler onboarding, lower cost structures, and tools that help sellers make smarter business decisions. From AI-powered insights that identify new opportunities to demand-generation programs that help scale, we are committed to supporting sellers across Maharashtra in building resilient and competitive businesses.”

Speaking about the goodness of the fee change, Siddharth Jain, Co-founder & COO – Heelium and a seller on Amazon.in said, “Since our first order on Amazon in 2017 to scaling to multi-crore monthly revenue, the marketplace has been central to Heelium’s growth journey. As a bootstrapped startup, cash flow is critical, and the zero-referral fee on products below ₹1000 is a strong enabler. It allows us to reinvest more aggressively into scaling the business and launching new products. Amazon continues to be a key partner in our growth journey.”
