Prime Video’s Bandish Bandits Season two Strikes a High Note With a Spellbinding Musical Performance at the Closing Ceremony of the 55th International Film Festival of India

GOA, India—November 28, 2024— Prime Video, India’s most loved entertainment destination, presented an exclusive showcase of Season two of its eagerly-awaited Original series Bandish Bandits at the 55th edition of the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. While the new season of the musical drama is scheduled to premiere next month on December 13, Prime Video treated the audience at IFFI with an an immersive performance of the tracks Padharo Mhare DesGhar Aa Mahi and the series theme song by the exceptionalMame Khan, Nikita Gandhi, and DigV (Digvijay Singh Parihar).

The opening performance at the closing ceremony pulsated with vibrant energy, heartfelt emotions, and an uplifting spirit capturing the rooted classical music alongside contemporary music fusion from the series. Mame Khan, Nikita Gandhi, and DigV, some of the most talented singers in the country, truly enchanted the audience with their musical performances, giving a taste of the exceptional soundtrack of the series. Present at the event were lead actors Shreya Chaudhry, Ritwik Bhowmik, director Anand Tiwari, creator Amritpal Singh Bindra, co-producer Dimple Mathias, alongside Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals, Prime Video, India and and Sahira Nair, Head of Hindi Scripted Series, Prime Video, India. The cast and creators expressed their gratitude to IFFI for creating a glorious platform for Indian stories and storytellers to showcase their talent and body of work.

The special act featured an enthralling performance from Mame Khan on the series theme song, followed by Padharo Mhare Des, and joined by Nikita Gandhi and DigV (Digvijay Singh Pariyar) for Ghar Aa Maahi

Prime Video rekindled the excitement ignited by the performances, diving into the making of this musical drama and celebrating its return after four years. This was followed by an exclusive series sizzle, concluding with the announcement of the much-anticipated trailer release on December 2, 2024. 

Created by Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, who has also directed the series, Bandish Bandits is a Leo Media Collective Private Limited production and is written by Tiwari alongside Atmika Didwania and Karan Singh Tyagi. The new season will see the return of its versatile cast including Ritwik Bhowmik, Shreya Chaudhry, Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, and Kunaal Roy Kapur, along with new cast members, Divya Dutta, Rohan Gurbaxani, Yashaswini Dayama, Aaliyah Qureshi, and Saurabh Nayyar in pivotal roles. Bandish Bandits season twois set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on December 13, in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
