Samsung One UI 7 beta rollout begins , gives a glimpse into the future of mobile AI

One UI 7 aims to offer an AI – first platform for the most intuitive controls , giving users a personalized AI – powered mobile experience.

New Delhi , India  December , 2024 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced the public release of the One UI 7 beta program , introducing powerful AI features , simplified controls, and a preview of a broader future AI ecosystem. One UI 7 builds on an AI platform incorporating leading AI agents and multimodal capabilities across every touchpoint of the interface , where every interaction feels natural and intuitive. The beta program offers a first look at an upgraded mobile user experience for more personalization than ever before.

Advanced AI provides a more seamless user experience

One UI 7 Galaxy AI Features [1]  Galaxy Note 10 brings a powerful update to Galaxy Note 10 , including advanced writing assist tools. These features, incorporated with AI OS, allow users to enhance their productivity by selecting text without the need to switch between applications. This capability expands on the powerful writing assist tools already available to Galaxy users , making it easy to edit content quickly and easily.  Provides AI – powered options to summarise , check spelling and grammar, and automatically format notes into bullet points .

One UI 7 with upgraded call features supports 20 languages ​​[2] With support for , expand the boundaries of communication and connection through call transcripts . Once call recording is enabled, recorded calls will be automatically transcribed for later reference , eliminating the need to manually take notes while multitasking .

Bold new design for better personalization and control

One UI 7 ‘s powerful AI features come with a significant and fresh look , based on a new notification system that streamlines communications with easy access right from the device’s lock screen. This includes the Now Bar , which highlights relevant activities across Interpreter , Music , Recording , Stopwatch, and various other features. Providing quick access to important information, Now Bar reduces the need to constantly unlock the device and allows users to easily connect to important information. Compatible with the upcoming Galaxy S series devices , Now Bar will transform the lock screen experience , and will continue to evolve with more intelligent experiences in the future.

All of these feature upgrades are built on a simple , impactful, and emotive design. Together , these principles work to craft a streamlined and harmonious experience for Galaxy users. Defined by bold , iconic design choices , One UI 7 reduces visual clutter and fosters an engaging experience designed to connect with users on a personal level and deliver a seamless mobile experience with AI features.

The simplified home screen , redesigned One UI widgets, and lock screen – among other features – work together to give users granular control over every detail and make customization intuitive and easy.

The redesigned Camera UX allows for more intuitive control over advanced settings. Camera buttons, controls, and modes have been redesigned to make it easier to find the features you need and to give you a clear preview of the photo you’re taking or the video you’re recording .

For Pro and Pro Video modes , the manual settings layout has also been simplified , making it easier to focus on the picture or video you’re shooting. A new zoom control is available when you’re recording in Pro Video mode , allowing you to control the zoom speed for easier switching.

The official One UI 7 release will begin with the upcoming Galaxy S series devices , featuring additional AI capabilities including advanced on  device AI functions, from the first quarter of 2025. In line with Samsung’s commitment to expand its OS upgrade policy , the update will be gradually rolled out to other Galaxy devices as well.

The One UI 7 beta program will first be available for Galaxy S24 series devices in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US starting December 5. Galaxy S24 series users can also subscribe to the One UI 7 beta via Samsung Members . You can apply to join the beta program.
